What to wear for an outdoor wedding very casual?
I'm going to a wedding this Saturday afternoon. It is outdoors and very relaxed (think men in hats and cowboy boots). I have a periwinkle, high waist, flared skirt I wear, but I do not know what to wear with it. It seems cute with a white button-up shirt, but I do not think this is the case. In addition, the marriage takes place in late afternoon and will likely be more cold, so I'll need a cover up of some sort. I intend to wear flats, do not know what color. Any idea?
You're on the right track! It is OK to wear a white button-up shirt with a skirt color. This place is not far from the bride, especially during summer. The shirt should protect you from sunburn to a certain extent, but you would do well to apply a sunscreen too. You are right to be ready for cold weather as the sun sets. Nice sweater or a blazer type jacket, would be appropriate. You could bend a head scarf and gloves and in your purse, in case you need extra heat. Flat shoes are just right. It does not really know what color they are. The outdoor field will be sweet, heels and fall right into it the last outdoor wedding we attended, the hind legs of the folding chair sank in the ground too. I was lucky enough to find a couple of flat stones, I could put them in, otherwise I would have to stretch backward. You can make with them a couple of squares of wood, but I suppose you'd just end up offering them to some unfortunate person. Have a nice time!
